A Film Review: Tomorrow’s World
Last weekend, I watched a science fiction film called “Tomorrow’s World” with my friends. The film is about life in the year 2075. In the film, people live in floating cities above the clouds. They don’t drive cars — they use flying vehicles. A robot named AIKO helps the main character, a young scientist called Maya. Maya discovers that the oceans are rising and the cities will fall if they don’t find a solution. “We will save our planet, or we will lose everything,” says Maya. I think the film is exciting and thought-provoking. The special effects are incredible. I will watch it again because I missed some details.
  1. a What is the film “Tomorrow’s World” about?
  2. b What does “thought-provoking” mean? Explain in your own words.
  3. c Why will the cities fall in the film?
  4. d Did the reviewer enjoy the film? How do you know?
Sadece metinden kopyalama yapma, kendi cümlelerinle anlat. “Thought-provoking” kelimesinin anlamını düşün: düşündürücü, ufuk açıcı. İncelemenin sonundaki ipuçlarından yazarın filmi beğenip beğenmediğini anla.

Students can select and use target grammatical language items efficiently, effectively, and accurately after recognising them in context.
Read the text about technology and answer the questions with complete sentences. Use Simple Present or Simple Future (will) in your answers.
Technology in Our Lives
Technology changes our lives every day. Most students use smartphones and tablets for studying. They watch educational videos and do online research. But what will happen in the future? Scientists believe that robots will help students in the classroom. Students will not carry heavy books — they will use holographic screens instead. Artificial intelligence will check homework automatically. “Will robots replace teachers?” asks Ece. Her teacher, Mrs. Demir, smiles and says, “No, they won’t. Robots will help us, but they will not replace human connection. Teachers will always be important.” Ece agrees: “I think technology will make learning more fun, but we will still need our teachers.”
  1. a How do most students use technology today?
  2. b What will robots do in the classroom according to scientists?
  3. c Will robots replace teachers? Why or why not?
  4. d Write one sentence with Simple Present (fact) and one with “will” (prediction) about the text.
Her cevabı tam cümle olarak yaz. Güncel bilgiler için Simple Present (use, watch, changes), gelecek tahminleri için “will” (will help, will not carry, will make) kullan. “Will not” = “won’t”.

Model Text
My favourite film is “Wall-E.” It is an animated science fiction film. The film is about a small robot who lives on Earth in the future. The planet is full of rubbish, and all the humans live in a spaceship. Wall-E finds a small plant and this will change everything. I think the film is very emotional and creative. I will watch it again with my little sister because she will love it too.
Your task: Write a similar paragraph about YOUR favourite film. Include:
• What is the name of the film?
• What genre is it? (science fiction, comedy, horror, animation…)
• What is the film about?
• Why do you like it? (Use adjectives: exciting, funny, scary, emotional…)
• What will you do related to this film? (Use will — e.g., watch again, recommend…)
Model metindeki yapıyı takip et: film adı türü konusu neden beğendiğin (sıfatlar) gelecekte ne yapacağın (will). “I think the film is...” ve “I will...” yapılarını kullan.
