🍲 Turkish Lentil Soup (Mercimek Çorbası) — Serves 6
Ingredients: 2 cups of red lentils, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 1 potato, 2 tablespoons of butter, 6 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of cumin

Instructions:
First, wash the lentils and chop the onion, carrot and potato into small pieces.
Second, melt the butter in a large pot and fry the onion for 2 minutes.
Then, add the lentils, carrot and potato into the pot.
After that, pour 6 cups of water and add the salt. Boil the mixture for 25 minutes until everything is soft.
Finally, blend the soup until smooth. Add black pepper and cumin. Serve it hot with lemon and bread.
