Wrap out: to finish something completely and leave, especially at the very end of an activity — most commonly used in film/TV production and occasionally in informal speech to mean “we’re done and out.”
It is not a standard everyday phrasal verb like wrap up. Outside of specific industries, many native speakers don’t use it at all.
In real life 2025, you mostly hear wrap out:
- on film sets
- in behind-the-scenes talk
- among crew members
Real life 2025:
“We wrap out at midnight.”
“They wrapped out early today.”
